Introducing Kellogg's Strategy Major

Courses in strategy improve your understanding of how the decisions of managers influence the economic performance of their firms. These courses combine rigorous, analytical thinking with careful attention to institutional detail in order to illuminate aspects of firm behavior, market structure, and organizational design.

Major requirements are determined by the quarter you began your Kellogg ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿. Any new courses and adjustments to the major displayed in the most recent academic year can be applied to previously matriculated students.

  • A student must earn at least four credits (in any combination of half- and full-credit courses) from the courses listed below to complete the major.

    At least three course credits from the following list:

    • People Analytics and Strategy
    • Healthcare Strategy
    • Healthcare Strategy - Deep Dive
    • Healthcare Economics
    • Strategy and Organization
    • The Economics of Energy Markets and the Environment
    • International Business Strategy
    • FinTech Strategy
    • Technology and Innovation Strategy
    • Strategic Challenges in Emerging Markets
    • Analytics for Strategy
    • Competitive Strategy and Industrial Structure

    One additional course credit from the list above or from the following list:

    • Intellectual Capital Management
    • Family Enterprises: Issues and Solutions
    • Field Study
    • Field Study (half-credit)
    • Independent Study
    • Independent Study (half-credit) 
    • Strategy Beyond Markets
    • Pharmaceutical Strategy
    • Any 900-level STRT course

    MMM students: DSGN-460 can count toward the Strategy major in place of STRT-441.
